*IRBA members residing in the State of Illinois will have their sweepstake points counted in the District of their home address.

*IRBA Members residing outside of the State of Illinois will have their points counted in the District nearest their home address.

*Points accumulated by an exhibitor showing in the Open division of a show remain in the Open Division for calculation. Those points accumulated by an exhibitor showing in the Youth Division of a show remain in the Youth Division for calculation. No Open and Youth points earned may be combined.

*Any exhibitor, to be eligible for sweepstakes points, must be a member in good standing of the IRBA.

*Any IRBA Sweepstake Rule is under the direct supervision of the IRBA Executive Committee. The Sweepstake Rules are not subject to resolution, and any desired change must be made in writing to the Executive Committee

Membership dues are renewable on or before January 1^st of each year in order to remain current and in good standing. There is an IRBA membership grace period allowed each member renewing, specifically in order to benefit that renewing member the opportunity to avoid any lapse in IRBA Sweepstake Points earned and accumulated towards the current years Sweepstake Year. However, to remain classified as ‘current and in good standing’, dues must be renewed on or before January 1^st of the year you are renewing for.

Half year IRBA dues fees begin after July 1^st of the year applying for or renewing membership.

Membership in the IRBA takes effect as of the date your dues arrive in the Secretary’s office. Regardless of the date IRBA membership was paid to a local club, membership becomes effective as of the date it arrives at the office of the IRBA Secretary.

** [For Example Purpose Only: Using the year 2001 and 2002]

1) You are a member of the IRBA and your dues expire on 12/31/01; You pay your next years IRBA dues through your local club and those dues are submitted by the Club Secretary and received by February 1^st, your membership will be allowed from the January 1, 2002 date and any points accumulated between the January 1st and February 1st date will be allowed.

2) You are a member of the IRBA and your dues expire on 12/31/01; You pay your IRBA dues through your local club and those dues are submitted by the Club Secretary and received after February 1^st, your membership will be allowed from the date it is received, and NO points accumulated prior to receipt of your IRBA renewal membership will be allowed.

3) You are a member of the IRBA and your dues expire on 12/31/01; You pay your IRBA dues through your local club and those dues are submitted by the Club Secretary and received after February 1^st, your membership will be allowed from the date it is received, and NO points accumulated prior to receipt of your IRBA renewal membership will be allowed. [For Example]; You paid your 2002 year IRBA dues to your local Club on December 15, 2001. The club secretary does not forward those dues to the IRBA until August 7, 2002, and they are then received on August 12, 2002; NO points accumulated from any IRBA sanctioned show attended by the person will be allowed prior to their dues receipt on August 12, 2002. They were not an IRBA member prior to that time.

4) New members applying for membership will have their affiliation with the IRBA begin on the date their membership arrives at the Secretary’s office.

5) IRBA dues applied for as Individual are $7.00 per adult or per youth. Adult membership applied for through an Illinois Local affiliated club is $6.00 per adult. Youth membership applied for through an Illinois Local affiliated club is $4.00 per youth. [These reduced affiliation fees do not apply through specialty clubs.]

6) Only ADULT paid members current and in good standing are allowed to vote. Individual Members, provided their membership is "current and in good standing" at that time, will vote their ballots as individuals; Adult Members who joined through a local Club will have their votes(s) reflected through that Club’s ballot, provided their membership is "current and in good standing" at that time.

7) Youth may join the IRBA as an Adult in order to have the opportunity to vote, provided that they submit their membership as an Individual Membership (No Club affiliation), and noting that they are a Youth ‘joining as’ an Adult.

8) Any person may apply for membership through a local IRBA affiliated Club and pay the reduced IRBA dues via individual mailing, provided they have approval from that local club, and arrangements have been made between the parties for the person to send their own dues in directly to the IRBA Secretary.
